One of the most common questions I receive from our friends and regular gym-goers is: “What do you think about X workout?” “X” can be replaced with CrossFit, P90X, or the most recent Men’s/Women’s Health workout routine.
The short answer is that many different training and nutrition strategies work, however only for a specific period of time. Instead of asking if CrossFit, Bikram Yoga or the hottest YouTube fitness star workout would work better for you, you should ask “What is going on with my life right now and what would help me the most to get me closer to my goals?” Maybe there is nothing wrong with your current training regime but you need to sleep more, eat more vegetables and protein, or do some de-stressing routine before going to bed.
